In accordance with the decree of April 19, 2019 setting the registration fees applicable to non-EU international students enrolled in a public higher education institution, differentiated fees were voted by the Board of Directors of the Université Clermont Auvergne at its meeting of September 27, 2019.

The UCA Board of Directors, meeting on December 15, 2023, decided to postpone the partial exemption for the 2024/2025 academic year.

As a result, non-EU students will pay the same tuition fees as national and European students for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Who is subject to the differentiated tuition fees?

  • Students who are family members of a citizen of the EU/EEA/Switzerland (residency permit)

  • Non-EU students admitted to UCA prior to September 2019, until the end of their studies, provided they are carried out continuously

  • Students enrolled on a doctoral degree, seeking accreditation to supervise research (HDR), doctoral medical students (DES) or students on a university diploma course
  • Students benefiting from refugee status or subsidiary protection, or the children of such beneficiaries
  • Non-EU students who have had French resident status for at least 2 years or who have been part of a French household for tax purposes for at least 2 years
